Bio

David was born and raised in the wilds of North Dakota. After three years of college on scholarship as a double-major in Physics and English, he transferred to the University of Minnesota at Duluth to get his BFA in Acting. During his time at UMD, he was one of 20 American college students invited as a guest actor/student to the 1996 International Theater Festival in Budapest, Hungary, and one of 6 U.S. students invited to perform at Romania's annual Eugene Ionesco Festival that same year. He spent a little time after college in Minneapolis, performing in a lot of theater, and a handful of industrials, commercials and indie films, before moving to Los Angeles.

After a year or so in LA, David and a small group of friends founded Lucid by Proxy, a theatrical production group. Since moving to Los Angeles, David has performed in more than a dozen plays and a handful of short and feature-length films. He also runs the online magazine Clark Schpiell Productions, and in 2005, published his first book, We and GWB: Notes from the First Four Years.

David is married to the wonderful actress Shannon Nelson, and uses his skills as a webmonkey to pay the bills.
